On June 1, 2026, Hero Innovation Group Inc. announced that it has wound down its SideKick digital payment solution and payment application platform. As a result, the SideKick Prepaid Reloadable Mastercard Card program has closed. 

Effective June 1, 2026, you will no longer be able to load funds onto your SideKick Prepaid Reloadable Mastercard Card, and your card will no longer work for any debit transactions, including in-store purchases, online retail or ATM transactions. Access to your account will be closed effective immediately. 

If there were funds remaining in your card account after June 1, 2026, the funds still belong to you and will, upon your request, be returned to you via cheque, which will be mailed to the Canadian address currently on file (PO Box addresses will not be accepted), within 30 days after we receive your request. You may request the return of your remaining funds by contacting Customer Service at help@mycardholdersupport.com or +1-855-342-6924 (Select Option 2).

No fee will be charged for the processing of a refund. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service. In the alternative, you can also contact Peoples Trust Company at +1-855-694-6214 should you have any further questions or wish to process your refund.
